Worship & Music Ministry

Our Worship & Music ministry seeks to encourage and equip believers of all ages to worship and serve God through music! We utilize a balance and variety of contemporary music and traditional hymns, accompanied by a growing praise and worship band/orchestra, praise singers, and choir.

Summer Music and Arts Camp

No SMAAC for 2026

Summer Music and Arts Camp at FBC is a great tradition! At SMAAC kids can explore some awesome music and artistic tracks such as, keyboards, guitar, percussion, painting, photography, cooking, tech, drama, and MORE!

​

2026 is our FBC "Year of Rest" - so we will have NO SMAAC for 2026. BUT we do plan to start back up, refreshed and renewed, in 2027. Keep an eye out here for updates!

Technical Ministries

The Technical Ministries Team supports the worship life of First Baptist Church through sound, video projection, media, and video recording ministries. Experience is helpful, but not required. Continuing training is available for those interested in serving.

Worship Choir

The Worship Choir rehearses Wednesdays from 7:15-8:30pm in the Sanctuary. The choir ministers through a variety of music during the Sunday morning services and also presents special seasonal programs. No audition or musical experience is necessary - just a heart to worship and a willingness to serve! We'd love to have you!! (For students age 7th grade and up plus adults of all ages!)

Kid's Choir

Sundays  @ 5:00-6:00 pm

​Grades 1-6

Join us for an exciting adventure in Choir and Arts for kids in grades 1-6!

Our Kid’s Choir is a fantastic place for kids to discover amazing worship and singing skills, followed by a super fun time of art activities!

Student Opportunities

High school and college students are welcomed to participate musically in every area: choir, orchestra and even tech and handbells. Use your gifts in service to the Lord.

Worship Orchestra

The Worship Orchestra accompanies congregational worship on Sunday mornings, occasionally accompanies the Sanctuary Choir and other musical groups, and plays special orchestra-only selections several times a year. We rehearse Sundays from 8:00-9:00am before the Sunday school hour. Additional instruments are welcome!

Handbell Ensemble

Tuesdays

6:00-7:30pm

Handbell Ensemble meets Tuesdays from 6:00-7:30pm during the school year and plays in worship on a regular basis.

​

We're looking for another ringer or two as we prepare for upcoming events! No previous experience required (although it is important that you have basic music reading skills already.)

​
