Our Worship & Music ministry seeks to encourage and equip believers of all ages to worship and serve God through music! We utilize a balance and variety of traditional hymns and contemporary music accompanied by a growing praise and worship band/orchestra, praise singers, and choir.
The Lifeline Youth Choir sings weekly during our evening service and rehearses each Sunday at 4:30pm in the music suite. A snack supper is provided at 5:30pm before the choir goes to the evening service. Continuing a 20+ year tradition, Lifeline takes a week-long tour & ministry trip every summer at no cost to students who are faithful to rehearsals throughout the year.
The Sanctuary Choir rehearses Wednesdays from 7:15-8:30pm in the Music Suite. The choir ministers through a variety of music during the Sunday morning services and also presents special seasonal programs. No audition or musical experience is necessary - just a heart to worship and a willingness to serve! We'd love to have you!!
Children's choirs meet Sundays on the second floor of the education building from 6:00-7:00pm. They have a great time of singing and worship involving both spiritual and musical education. The children's choirs sing in worship services several times throughout the year. Choirs include: Merry Makers (ages 4-Kindergarten), and KidsPraise (grades 1-6).
The Technical Ministries Team supports the worship life of First Baptist Church through sound, video projection, media, and video recording ministries. Experience is helpful, but not required. Continuing training is available for those interested in serving.
The Worship Orchestra accompanies congregational worship on Sunday mornings, occasionally accompanies the Sanctuary Choir and other musical groups, and plays special orchestra-only selections several times a year. We rehearse Sundays from 8:00-9:00am before the Sunday school hour. Additional instruments are welcome!
We regret to announce that SMAAC is postponed at this time. Please check back frequently for updates.
The FBCC Worship Ministry offers a week-long Summer Music and Arts Camp (SMAAC) for all kids in the community K4-Grade 6. It is a week filled with music and arts activities for exploring and learning musical, worship, and arts concepts at age-appropriate levels. Children participate in various classes such as choir, keyboard skills, photography, art, and many more! We offer children many ways to serve the Lord!
